Thursday 2nd July - Top Ten Final - Congratulations to the vitorious Dollar top 10 team who beat Clackmannan at Tulliallan last night. The victory was a convincing one, (even without Gordon Duncan and Kevin Jack, who's shoes were comfortably filled by Dennis Fitzgerald and David Gordon), with Dollar winning 8-0 over a Clackmannan team that many people thought were in the running to win the competition! The Legend now has a difficult choice who to leave out in the final!
The other semi-final was contested between Tulliallan and Menstrie, with Tulliallan winning. The final of the Top 10, that will be played at Alva South's green, is between Tulliallan and Dollar. Good luck to both teams in the final, (although more to Dollar!), and we hope that other members will come to the club that night and support the team. Wednesday 1st July - Rink night - 24 members turned out for the Rink night. The winning triples was made up of David Taylor, David Gordon and Alec Crockett who were 11 shots up. An enjoyable time was had by all and we wish the Alva South Bowling Club members every success in their matches this season.Saturday 13th June - Participation Race Night - There was a dissapointing turnout of 24 members and guests, for the participation race night. Thanks also to Kai's helpers on the night, Kennie Young, Dolly Young, Gordon Duncan, Lew Diamond Phillips, Adam Denney and Margaret Daniels - and a mention to Matt McKay for explaining how to set up and run the race night.
