Saturday 24th April - Match Report vs Menstrie - The weather was good for todays fixture against Menstrie, meaning a pleasant afternoon was had by everyone involved in the match. After President Kennie made his speech the game began and although Dollar got off to a good start the match ended up becoming a Menstrie victory ending the afternoon 10 points up. Congratulations to Menstrie President Callum Macleod who won the sweep after a convincing win over President Kennie's rink. Thank you to everyone involved in helping with the meals and bar. We wish all the participants the best of luck for the match. Tuesday 20th April - Rink Night - Rink Night - 14 members turned out for the first Rink night of the 2010 season. The winning Triples was made up of Kennie Young, Peter Duncan and John Kerr who were 17 shots up.Sunday 18th April - Match against Kinross - Todays match against Kinross was called off due to flooding of Kinross's green. We wish to thank everybody who entered to play the match and apologise for the short notice Kinross gave for the cancelation.Saturday 17th April - Opening of the Green - Saturday the 17th of April seen the opening of Dollar Bowling Clubs green. 29 members turned up for the opening and the afternoon play started at 14:30 with May Beveridge throwing the first bowl, as President Kennie Young's wife Peggy was stuck in Tenerife due to the Icelandic Volcano. The match was played over 14 ends with Vice President Peter Duncan emerging victorious. In the evening there was a disco put together by the President and the Social Conveynor, Kai Young, to celebrate the Green reopening. Thank you to everybody who helped throughout the day and made the day enjoyable. Tuesday 16th February - Dollar Bowling Club AGM - The Dollar AGM was held on Tuesday the 16th February 2010, at 7.30PM.At the AGM a lot of important points were discussed but the main conversation of the night was the election of committee members. Kennie Young agreed to stay on as President for another year, with Peter Duncan remaining as Vice President. May Beveridge resumes her position of Club Secretary and Alan Geddes takes another year as Treasurer. Dennis Fitzgerald and Kai Young return as the Fabrics and Social Convener's respectively. The new elections of the committee were John Kerr is the new Match Secretary, taking over from Roy Lennon and Kai Young is the new Bar Convenor, taking over from Peter Duncan. Full details of the minutes of the meeting will be available on the notice board. Tuesday 22nd September - Rink Night - 16 members turned out for the Rink night. The winning Pair was made up of Gordon Duncan and Matt McKay who were 21 shots up. Here are the standings for the final Weekly Points Table:

It was a close one between Gordon and Alan who were both in the running for top spot, Unfortunatley for Alan, who was 17 shots up, Gordon had the better game on the night, winning by 21 shots. Adam is one of our newest members, already representing Dollar in the National rinks.
Dan has played for various clubs prior to joining Dollar and is a county player both indoor and outdoor. Danny can play in any position.
Dennis joined Dollar last season, having prviously played Crown Green Bowling. He has taken to the flat green brilliantly and has quickly established himself as one of our top front end players.
Gordon is one of our most established and successful bowlers, usually playing at the back end. Gordons choice of weapons are Yellow Internationals.
Ian S Inglis is the club's top player. The most capped player in the County and he has won more club competitions than anyone else in the club's history. He's famed for having short arms and long pockets, but he's a Fifer, so what can you expect! Ian plays with maroon speckled Aces.
One of our up-and-coming stars, Kai is the club's social convenor. He plays lead and is part of our successful young National Fours team who have currently reached the Semi-finals, having knocked out one of the County's big hitters in the Quarter finals. Kai plays with Orange Aces.
Kennie is currently club president and Clackmannan and Kinross County President. Kennie usually plays at the back end and represents the club in National and County Competitions (although he's no very guid at indoor bowls!). Kennie plays a big part in the social side of the club. He plays with his famous Pink Aces - the only pink aces in the county!
Peter is the Vice President and Bar Convenor and has been at the club for 3 years. This year he is representing the club in the national triples and the county two bowl pairs, as well as being a Balfour team member. As a traditionalist, Peter plays with black lignoids.
Roy is one of our more seasoned performers and is the 2009 Senior Clackmannan and Kinross County President.
